Random Old Records Podcast #90

Right under the wire, here's one more podcast for this blessed and cursed year of 2020. EPISODE #90 of Random Old Records is mostly new jams this time, with a few old favorites sprinkled in here and there. It goes all over the place! If you're into snapping electronic percussion, unexpected sax solos, uninhibited crooning, pronounced accents, and way too many power chords, this is the episode for you!

I am a huge fan of the raw and jubilant electronic jams made by Los Angeles label 100% Silk, so this set kicks off with a track from label mainstays LA Vampires. You'll then hear swaggering fire from US Girls and Special Interest, poppy-punk from The Beths, Brick Head, and Dumspell, psychedelic classics from Margo Guryan and The Pretty Things, wistful modern pop from Marie Davidson and En Attendant Ana, plus so much more. It's an open window on a warm winter morning.
