Random Old Records Podcast #6

Random Old Records Podcast #6 has been uploaded to the wonderful internet and is now available to all. 2009 is the 20th anniversary of the release of "Suicide Alley," the first single by the band I'd probably consider my favorite of all time, the Manic Street Preachers. So, here is a heaping helping of classic Manics tracks, along with some semi-rare b-sides and a vintage interview snippet. This year is also, according to Wikipedia, the 15th anniversary of the term "Britpop" entering the popular lexicon, so there's also a bunch of great Britpop hits and obscurities from the likes of Blur, Elastica, These Animal Men, Menswear, Gene, and Pulp. In between the hit parade, you can hear Justine of Elastica swoon over Suede, Louise from Sleeper talk about the British psyche, and Noel Gallagher talking some serious shit about Damon Albarn and the middle class in general. 60+ minutes of classic British rock can be had by downloading Podcast #6 here: http://www.mediafire.com/?zgzhh4rmtmm. Enjoy!

As a teaser, here's a sadly low-quality, heavily edited video of "Lazarus" by the Boo Radleys, one of my 5 favorite songs of all time.
